TOKEN2049 Singapore 2026: What the Week Actually Looks Like, and How to Work It

For one week in October, the crypto industry relocates to Singapore. TOKEN2049 runs 7-8 October at Marina Bay Sands, and around it sits a week so dense that the conference badge is arguably the least valuable thing you'll carry. WenAltSeason is a community partner this year, so here's the practical version: what the event is now, who is actually turning up, and how projects get something out of it beyond a lanyard and a hangover.

The scale, in numbers that matter

The headline figures from the organisers: 25,000 attendees from more than 7,000 companies across 160 countries, with 500 exhibitors, 300 speakers and the whole of Marina Bay Sands given over to it, floor by floor.

One number is worth more attention than the rest. TOKEN2049's Dubai edition has moved to 2027, which makes Singapore the only edition this year. Co-founder Alex Fiskum put it directly:

"With our Dubai edition moving to 2027, our full focus this year is on Singapore. We're seeing strong interest, with more than 70% of the exhibition floor already secured."
Alex Fiskum · TOKEN2049 co-founder

Two editions of demand pointed at one date. If you are planning to exhibit, sponsor or book anything in the city, the constraint this year is supply, not budget.

The line-up tells you where the industry thinks it is

The first 100 speakers are announced, and the mix is the story. Crypto-native leadership is there - Shayne Coplan (Polymarket), Jeff Yan (Hyperliquid Labs), Raoul Pal (Real Vision). So is the other side of the table: Adena Friedman, Chair and CEO of Nasdaq; Jenny Johnson, CEO of Franklin Templeton; Tom Lee of Fundstrat; Eric Trump of The Trump Organization.

The organisers say institutional participation is a major focus this year, and names it expects on site: BlackRock, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Nasdaq, NYSE, CME, Franklin Templeton. Read the room: a conference that used to be builders talking to builders now has the people who run public markets on the programme.

It is a whole week, and the conference is only part of it

This is the part first-timers underestimate. TOKEN2049 Week carries more than 1,000 side events across the city - investor breakfasts, private dinners, hackathons, meetups, launch parties. The same week also hosts Digital Asset Summit Asia, Sui Basecamp, the Network State Conference, the Milken Institute Asia Summit and the Forbes Global CEO Conference, with the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix running underneath all of it.

Practically: most of the meetings that matter happen off the conference floor. The badge gets you into the building; the calendar you built three weeks earlier is what determines whether the trip was worth it.

For builders: Origins and NEXUS

Two programmes are worth knowing about if you are early. TOKEN2049 Origins returns for its second edition as a 36-hour hackathon. The NEXUS Startup Competition puts founders on the TOKEN2049 stage pitching to investors, with finalists judged by Dragonfly, Multicoin and Maelstrom. The organisers report both programmes well past last year's application pace, into the thousands - so treat the deadlines as real.

How the week closes

AFTER 2049 is the official closing event, on 9 October at the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark Observation Deck. Once a year the deck shuts to the public and the 57th floor becomes the venue, with the Grand Prix circuit directly below. Claptone headlines, joined by Crusy, with ANONM, Leon (FR), Milam and Mo-Shi completing the line-up. Polygon Live brings its 360-degree spatial audio rig, billed as its only South-East Asian production of the year. Capacity is limited and tickets are sold through Megatix.

How to actually work the week

We run media for crypto projects, and we were a media partner at Coinfest Asia earlier this year, so this part is from the operating side rather than the brochure.

Book meetings before you book flights. By October the calendars of the people you want are full. The projects that come back with a pipeline had their week scheduled in September, while everyone else works the Telegram group during the opening keynote.

Have one thing to say. 25,000 people are all explaining their product that week. A team that arrives with a single sharp narrative - a launch, a number, a contrarian position - gets remembered. A team that arrives with a general overview gets a business card binned at the airport.

Create something that outlives the week. The conversations you have in Singapore reach the people in the room. The recording of that conversation reaches everyone else, for months. Panels, interviews, a Space or a live show recorded on site turn a two-day trip into content that keeps working - which is exactly why we run our own shows around events rather than only attending them.

Decide what you're measuring before you go. Meetings booked, qualified leads, published coverage - pick the metric in advance. "Great energy" is not a result.

Tickets

Tickets are on sale, and the organisers expect to be sold out before the doors open. As a community partner we have a 10% discount code for General Access tickets: ARTEMT10 (credit card payments only). Details and registration are on the TOKEN2049 Singapore site.
